Need help with 7.1 rear speaker placement in media room

Included is a diagram of my media room. The room is already prewired for 7.2. The rear speakers are prewired to be placed in the ceiling as part of the 3' wide "lip" you see in the back of the room. My question is whether they would be better off behind the couch in the wall. If that is the case, the door gets in the way of spacing them out very much. I am using Monoprice in wall 8" 3 way speakers. The couch can be repositioned but is currently set with a 12' viewing distance from the screen. PLEASE HELP - I haven't bought my rear speakers yet.

I use a pair of in ceiling speakers for my surround backs as well and in a similar placement. In my experience they will be fine there. I used some Sonance speakers that allowed me to "aim" the drivers more at my seating position.
