Hello
First time buying a home theater system and I have no idea what I'm doing :). I have a dedicated room for theater and I'm putting a projector on it but I need a good sound system for a budget of $1300, I'm also starting from 0 so I need all the components. The room that I'm using is 12' 5" x 18' 6". I started looking at Pioneer but I would love if you guys can help me suggesting other better systems or if that one is good enough.

Thanks,
Carlos

Hi Carlos, welcome. Does that 1300 include the projector? What about a screen? For 1300 check out Accessories4less. There are quite a few receivers for 2-300 bucks. They are refurbished, but have a warranty. The Denon AVR-1613, 5.1, audessy, 75 watts/channel. The Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers get great reviews for the price. Top it off with an SVS PB1000 sub. Receiver, speakers and sub. Leaves a little left over for cables, wiring etc...

Denon AVR: 229.00
Pioneer SP-FS52 towers: 129.00
Pioneer SP-BS22 bookshelf:
(2) 129.00
(4) if you don't go with the towers 258.00
Pioneer SPC-22 center: 99.00
SVS PB 1000 499.00

Total: 1085.00

While Pioneer is nice - I prefer Cambridge Audio over them
I would look to buy 2 pairs > then use 1 ea for the center
channel - and have a spare (it would be worth it).
