first off hello everyone i am new to this site . i have some questions and im sure i will get some answers lol. i hope ! my current setup i have a yamaha rxv 2300 and useing a anthem mca 30 to power my 3 fronts. so power i am not missing any ! my question is that i want to switch to a pioneer elite sc-25. will i notice a big difference in sound??? i know that the pioneer has alot more opitons then i currently have. i am more intrested in hometheater sound then audio sound( music), sure there about the same in that feild. please any help will be apreciated.

If the pioneer receiver has the features and conveniences you want, then I say go for it. You're not likely to notice much difference in sound at all other than some of the DSP modes which I never use anyways.

thank you for replying !! it has what i want but not sure if it will sound better!! thats the problem. my yam is 6.1 the pioneer is 7.1 true dolby digital and dts hd. my yam does'nt. . is there a big difference?

Yeah, I guess in that case, there really can be. Depends on the movie track though. Some sound better and some sound the same. Thats a worthwhile upgrade in my book for sure. The actual "sound" when comparing apples to apples won't be any different, but when adding those sound formats it can make a difference.

i dont think i will sell my yamaha, probably use it upstairs.lol. the sc 25 really looks great, if i do get it. should i still use my power amp for the front 3 speakers? thank you for your replys. adwilk.
