Please help if you can... I am trying to install these speakers today!
I need help in locating the two rear in-ceiling surround speakers in my 5.1 system. I also need help locating my subwoofer.
Here is what the room looks like:
The ceiling is 10 feet. The room is 15 feet wide. It is 16 feet from the TV wall to the target seat.
Here is a list of my speakers and receiver:
Front:
B&W 601s3
Center:
B&W DM600 IFS
Rear:
B&W CCM80 (
in-ceiling)
Sub:
B&W ASW600
Receiver:
Denon 3805
I have been searching postings about in-ceiling speakers on this forum and others but have been unable to find much regarding placement of these.
Here are my specific questions:
Do I place the Rears directly overhead? Do I move the speakers behind the target seat by one foot, two feet, three feet,...?
Do I keep the Rears wide? ie: In a fifteen foot wide room, should the speakers be placed twelve feet apart, nine feet apart or six feet apart?
Additionally, with my Denon 3805, how can I set the delay time to adjust "virtual location" of the speakers? Will the Denon do this automatically in the Auto Setup function?
