Need Help Picking A AV Receiver!!

I currently have a Pioneer 1121 that I'm just not happy with. Although its a nice receiver I could never get it set-up the way I wanted. So back it goes and the adventure continues to find the receiver that I will be happy with. The problem is that I have a Rich mans taste with a Poor mans wallet!! That being said, my better half has given me a budget of $700 to find the receiver of my dreams! Things that I'm looking for (1.) Sound Quality ~ A nice warm sound , with detail, not bright or something that I would get fatigue listening to. (2) A nice set of features, nothing over the top but up to date (3) Future proof ~ will be able to update without pulling my hair out ! maybe pre outs for future add on's.

My gear includes~ Dish network HD receiver, Oppo BDP-93, and Infinity Primus speakers 362 towers, 162 bookshelf's , 350 center and PS38 Powered Sub.

Look at the Yamaha 710 & 810 AVRs, the 710 is $599, 810 is $799 on Amazon. Some used 810s for $630.

along with your other post, I would seriously question the weakest link in your setup, the 8" subwoofer.

Also, try a factory reset on your 1121 and do a new setup from scratch. Sometimes when you make a series of adjustments, they can fight with each other.

Good deal on a Good AVR. Good deal on the Yamaha 710 but for a little extra the Marantz has more power. Both are great AVR's.
