Hi Steve,

I've listened to Cerwin Vega speakers and I find them to be rather muddy and not as articulate as others out there in the same range. They're great if you like RAP with heavy thudding rythms and material that sounds muddy in the first place, or material that is not well recorded etc. If I was in your position, I would be checking out the market for some good used speakers, where $500 - $700 would buy me quality performance.

Thanks O'Shag!
i agree with you,i don't like the sound of that a lot to,but i thought they are suit for Karaoke,i allways have alot of peple over and you know when they're drunk, they crank it up and sing like crazy.the Clsc12 have protection fusese and 12" woofer.that why i thought those speakers are good for me.
what do you think of HK receiver and JblE80 speakers?is that a good combination?are the Jbl speakers good for Karaoke
I only like to spend around $1000 C on the speakers.are there any good speakers?(can handle Karaoke too)
Thanks

Loud but good? JBL is a good choice. Also, you may want to take a look at Klipsch, althought they may be a bit pricey.

You may prefer to get some cheap speakers like MTX or Pioneer or KLH that would do well for karaoke and get a better pair for regular listening. If you get a receiver with A/B speaker switching or some banana plugs, this would be pretty easy.
