Hi,
I am a big fan of Def tech all the time, but the sheer performance of SF52 and its rave reviews in the audiophile community makes me ask this question to you.
I have auditioned Def tech BP8B few years back (2008) and it was the best that I listened to within my budget. Post that I had a lot of travel in my job , hence the idea of hifi audio system vanished. But now things have changed and I am very serious to set up one. I already have an Onkyo NR 626 receiver with me. I am looking for a good pair floorstanders now in the budget of $600 /pair
Needless to say, I would still want the Def tech's but they are completely out of my budget now for the price they are selling in India . I have auditioned few products that are within my budget from Wharfdale , Paradigm, Monitor audio etc. but none of these come even closer to my experience with Def tech. But pioneer SF52 was an exception. The quality it provides for the price it sells is just marvellous. But I thought I should supplement it with a sub woofer to make it sound closer to Deftech. I have a leftover budget 200-250$ for the sub.
Need your help in validating whether my choice is right and suggest a good entry audiophile sub in the budget I mentioned.
Needless to say it should marry with my Onkyo NR626!!
