I'm a newbie in Audio World. Trying to build my own little home theater.
My setup is

Receiver : Yamaha Aventage A3040
Power Amp : ROTEL 1080
Fronts : LSI 15's
Center : Klipsch RC-II 52
Surround : Definitive Tech Studio Monitor 450
Surround Back : Definitive Tech Studio Monitor 350
Rear Presence : Klipsch R-15M

My ROTEL 1080 which I recently purchased is to drive my LSI 15's. I need help in setting it up correctly.
My LSI 15's are rated 4 ohms and the ROTEL 1080 can also drive 4ohms speakers. In the ROTEL 1080 amp,
each channel have 4 connections. And the LSI 15's have 4 connections also. Do I have to used all the connections to get a 4ohm load to the ROTEL amp which means it's like bi-amping my LSI 15's. I'm just little confused since my ROTEL 1080 amp don't have any impedance selector, but also I don't want to damage my ROTEL 1080 if I made a wrong connections. Any help in setting up my LSI 15 fronts correctly would greatly much appreciated.

Thanks.

June

I would recommend just using two connections for your LSi-15's plus give them room to breathe. Those are placement sensitive like most speaker's, they need to be toed in a minimum of 15 degrees and up 45 degrees depending on your sweet spot where your sitting and how far from them. I had a pair back in the day like them a lot. But yeah I wouldn't recommend Bi-amping just use two upper or lower it doesn't matter. By the way, that's a really nice system to start out with for someone just starting out.

Thanks TechHDS for your recommendations. I do greatly appreciate it. Thank you also for the compliment of my system. I have been collecting audio stuff for a few years but never really got a chance to set it up because I only lived in an apartment. Finally bought a house and finally put together the stuff I been collecting for years except for the (2) SVS SB16 that I recently bought. I hope everything blends well. I love listening to music and concerts that's why I went with the SVS SB16 based on the reviews itself. I already have (2) Polk Audio Micro 4000 which I bought when Tweeter was closing down. Do you think that the Micro Pro 4000 would blend well with the SVS SB16? or I'll just used the Micro 4000 with some other application. My setup right now still in my living room. I will move everything to my basement when it's done. Again, Thank you for the help. Greatly appreciate it. I'll post more questions if you don't mind. God Bless.

Your amp can handle a 4 Ohm load easily, plus them LSi-15's are power hungry. My Son has a pair of them and he drives them with a Emotiva XPA-2 1st gen, 500 X 2 watts into 4 Ohms. Those SVS's are more than capable and you have 2 of them no doubt they will round out your surround nicely!..Unless your room is really huge those two should do it up well with the low-end.
