Need help in connectin bi amp speakers

Hello
I recently bought the Marantz 7010 AVR and I would linke to bi amp my frontspeakers but I am a little bit confused about the proper connection, specifically which channel should go to the LF on the speaker and which channel to the HF. The manual says I should use the front and the front-wide channels for bi amp but does not says which is for which. My gut tells me front channel to LF and front wide to HF but I am not sure.

Could anyone advise me

Thanks in advance.

There is nothing to be gained by passive biamplification which is the kind of biamplification you are talking about. Logic would seem to tell you that you would gain power but, in fact the amount of power you gain is trivial because you wind up with full spectrum power to both sides of the crossover network. Since tweeters dissipate milliwatts of power, it simply doesn't add anything meaningful. You end up with one over powered driver and another that has virtually the same power either way. You gain nothing meaningful. So my advice is to ignore the concept. If you have left over amplifiers, then just don't use them.

I agree with fmw, but if you want to try it out and have the cables for it, then go for it. My view is that you might as well prove it to yourself...as long as it's easy and inexpensive to do, that is. :) Because the Marantz will be sending the same signal out through either connection, it doesn't matter which one you connect to the LF or HF input. Just be sure to remove the metal connection between the two terminals on the speakers! Obvious to most people, I think, but I wanted to mention it because other folks have asked about that before.

As fmw was saying, don't expect much if any difference. It doesn't hurt to try, though.
