Hello, I just picked up a Rockford fosgate rfa-810 sub. It says “the punch” and “audiophile” on it. It is the 8 ohm model. I don’t know much about subs. I could use some help figuring out what amplifier would work with it. I tried to do a google search to find out what RMS it needs, and turned up empty. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for the help. Using the chart in the manual, it says that the RMS for my sub is 150. I cannot find a peak power though. Any help? And could I get some help with understanding ohms?

I guess what would help the most is a link to an amp or two that would work with my sub. Thank you

There’s no reason to be concerned about peak power. An amp with 150 watts RMS @ 8 ohms will work fine.

As far as an amp to recommend, you’d be better off finding a car audio forum for that. This forum primarily caters to home theater enthusiasts.

Oh okay, my bad. I thought it was primarily a car audio forum. Thank you very much for the info. Have a good day.
