so i pull a tweeter and midrange speaker from one of my old wooden cabinets last night.

the cabinet is filled with yellow insulation, vinyl coated wire is used throughout and the cabinets have an "increase/decrease treble" dial that is wired to a yellowish paper in foil cap.

no brand names/model numbers on the cabinet or speakers at all.

on the back of the speaker's frame there is a rubber stamp in blue ink. the tweeter's stamp reads: 10-03-57 and the midrange's reads: 10-05-67.

i am assuming these speakers are the originals and that the cabinets were purchased from Sears sometime in the mid to late 60s. just a hunch.

anyone know how to decode those speaker source codes so i can get some info on the brand of speakers, date, etc.?
