My niece will be getting an iPod for Christmas. She was born with a birth defect and only has one fully developed ear. She cannot hear out of the other. So I'm thinking that only using one of the iPod's earbuds will be less than ideal due to the stereo signal. I really think she needs to get a mono signal to hear everything in the music. What's the best (read easiest and inexpensive) solution to this? Can I get some sort of adapter plug from radioshack that will sum the stereo channels into mono? What about a decent mono earbud? Will this work and does anyone know of any that look similar to Apple's earbuds?
