Fellas,

Any of you know how long it generally take for the P362's to "break in"? How long before you really want to stretch the sound (volume)?

One final thing, what are considered the "top rated" receivers in the $300-600 price range?

Thanks again for all the help!
You just can't beat a Denon 3808 for $580:

I've bought a Denon DVD-5910CI, DVD-3930CI, & 2 PMA-2000IVRs from eCost without any problems, but perhaps I'm just lucky. :D

Update for those of you that helped me...

Front - Infinity Primus P362 ($300/pair)

Rear - Infinity Primus P162 ($168/pair)

Center - Infinity Primus PC350 ($189)

Sub - BIC America F12 ($218)

Still looking for receiver...torn between onkyo/denon.

Over the past couple of years I bought two factory refurbished Onkyo receivers (TX-SR606 & TX-SR707) from Accessories For Less and have had zero problems with them. Nothing was missing except the batteries for the remote and so far they have been flawless. That's why people often see me referring members to A4L - personal experience. It's hard to top the bang for the buck. And if you like you can always get an extended warranty although I never have.

You might also want to keep an eye on the deal sites because there have been some great 1 day (or less) clearance sales on last year's receivers.
Sholling,

You'll be happy to know that I went ahead and bought the 707 from A4L. I got the 3 year warranty plan as well (why not for an extra $30). Thanks again for the help.

That is one FINE system you got there.

You can be proud of it.

Congrats and enjoy!

If only so many others would check out Audioholics before spending $2K on a Bose system!!!

Great choice. And yeah, 3 year warranty for only $30? That's a bargain to me.

AcuDef,

I'd also like to thank you for helping me. I've read so much over the last month about systems and components. And to think, it all started with someone on craigslist offering me the Bose Acoustimass® 16 speaker system for $750.

Again, thanks to everyone for helping put together my first "REAL" HT.

I have a pair of Infinity P362 in my family room, and I am pleased with them.

I wish my own brother and his friend (both electrical engineers for Western Digital) had bought what you bought instead of their $2K bose systems.
