Hi,
I've almost made up my mind on the denon 2807 receiver. Now, I'm looking for cool speakers to go with these.
Maybe a stupid question - If the receiver is 8 ohmps do I need speakers with 8 or ohms or 8 or less ohms impedence?
i also want to hear people's top suggestions on a combo of 2 mains, 1 center, 1 sub and 2 rears. My budget (excluding receiver) is $3,000.
Also ,where's a good spot in nyc/nj to test them? Would you buy at store or can you suggest a good wesite?
Thanks in advance

According to the manual on the Denon website, it should take either 6 or 8 ohm speakers without any problems. If you do go with 6 ohm speakers, you might want to add a little extra clearance for air to move and keep your new toy cooler.

Denon 2807

Also, the price difference is over $250 for the denon 2807 on the net vs at a store. Do I get the full warranty online?

Most stores/websites will tell you if they are a "certified Denon retailer". If so, there will be no problem at all. There are several posts in A/H in the past stating that Denon honored purchases from places like UBid and Costco, even though they are not "certified".

I would just e-mail your e-tailer and ask.

I am not having any problems driving my 6ohm speakers with the Denon amp.
