I am currently upgrading my HT and have decided to start with the speakers. I currently have an "old" (read very old) technics receiver that i will be upgrading as well. I have narrowed my choices down to the NHT Classic 3 series center and surrounds with the classic 4 towers or the Infinity Classia series cc225 center and c205 surrounds with c336 towers. I have heard that i would need a separate amplifier to push the subs on the NHT 4s. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Current System-
Sony Bravia 47" 1080p LCD
PS3 for Blu-Ray (and Gaming)
upgrading receiver and all speakers

Personally, I would go the route of the NHT's. Again, if it were me, I would go with the 3's all the way around. They're considered one of the finest speakers in the world under $1000 (that's if you believe everything you read in the magazines). Either way, they're unbelievably realisitc and I don't see how you could go wrong utilizing them. They're not real sensitive, so you're going to want to use a very hefty receiver. I'd recommend going Emotiva separates, but that's just me.

Also, Listenup has them for like $2500 for the whole 5.1. That's not too bad at all.
