I am in the process of constructing a home theater and need to purchase a 25' HDMI and component cable to operate a ceiling mounted projector. I have searched the web and have seen a wide variety of brands with all different price pionts. I don't want to break the bank but niether do I want to buy poor quality cables that do not perform well. Could anyone recomend some cables (brand) that might fit the bill?

I am not sure which HDMI cable but the video cable, you should look for the RG6 type cables. They are low loss, should not be expensive at all. But, you will need a larger box for them to bend and plug into a plate so you have a clean finish. Then just use short lengths of video cables with RCA ends. Doesn't have to cost much at all.

Check out Impact Acoustics. Great prices, HDMI certified cables, and a 20% audioholics discount if you follow this link. Their component cables are also very high quality. BTW, the discount will be added once you add the product to your cart.

Ever a double blind Stereophile or any high end cable test?

Why doesn't Stereophile, The Absolute Sound, etc, etc. ever do a double blind test of cables? I guess they would hate to loose all that advertising revenue. I don't think any of those boys' golden ears could hear the difference between Cardas and Home Depot? Only if Home Depot starting taking $1000 ads each month.

Not bad, kinda oily in their description, but the price is certainly right. My only issue is the "Balanced" construction on their analog RCA interconnects. Unless you're using a balanced signal, you're better off with a dual shield coax.
