Need help choosing an amp for my speaker cabinet-

I bought this off of ebay 10 years ago. It was listed as a bass guitar combo, and had a mesa boogie tube bass amp in the rack space. I remember driving for hours to get it, and was shocked at how heavy it was.

After I got it home, and tried it, it sound like crap. About a dozen new tubes later, and the amp worked great, but I had bigger cabinets I used it with, and this little guy was forgotten about.

The H emblem on the speaker grill is the only badge I could find.

Here's a pic of the back panel-

Here's a shot through the big port in the back.

And, a closer look at the back of the speakers

The cabinet is really heavy, and seems to be well built. But I don't really know what it's meant to be used for, but I really don't think it's best use is for bass guitar.

I'd like to get it set up for karaoke...

Is that a crazy idea, or could I get a decent sound out of it with the right power amp, and mixer?

obviously it's pro-sound speaker and you should go with pro-amp. Depends how much power you need. Single channel 800W into 8ohm is not hard target = one bridged Crown XLS1500 will provide the power.

I would not attempt to power 800w speaker by tubes amps..
