Need help choosing a subwoofer for Audioengine A5+

First and foremost, I'm totally a noob in this aspect. I know LITERALLY NOTHING about choosing and installing subwoofers. So please be more specific in your answer
I recently bought Audioengine A5+.Since I really love bass, I decided to buy a subwoofer for it.
My room is about 12x13x10ft(1560 cubic feet).
I don't watch movies and play games, so I want a sub for ONLY MUSIC.
My budget is $400.
I did a little research on subwoofers and I heart a lot of people saying good things about the HSU STF-2. What do you think about this subwoofer? Is it a perfect fit for my audioengine a5+?

how to you control your volume as of now?

As of now, I control the volume by the volume knob at the front of the left speaker of audioengine a5+

You will lose that ability when you get a subwoofer. You will need to control it before both the Audioengines and the subwoofer.

I think he can still use his a5 control if he uses the output rca's on his a5 to the subwoofer...

The control problem is not really important to me. As long as Its a great musical subwoofer for my audioengine a5+. then it's fine to me.
What about the HSU STF-2? Is it a great fit for audioengine a5+?

The HSU is a decent sub and will sound good... I like HSU a lot, but I personally don't like ported subs for music... Some people don't mind them, and some subs are better than others...

How can I hook the HSU STF 2 to audioengine a5+ or my laptop? Does HSU STF 2 come with necessary wires for us to hook them up? If no, what kind of wires shoud I buy ?As stated earlier, I have absolutely no idea what wires I should buy and how I should do it.
If I install the HSU STF 2 to audioengine a5+, how would I control the volume and bass?
