I am looking for a good sub with size 8" or 10", and can go down to 28hz, my budget is around $300. My room is medium size. However, I don't mind to grab a second hand sub. Thansk for your suggestions.

I will swear by this gem. I am no expert in the field but I can tell you that from my own experience listening to multi thousand dollar subs to "home theater in a box" subs this sub burries them. Go to this site and then read what Wes Philips wrote about it. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&PartNumber=300-739&DID=7

He would be the expert that can accurately put into words what this sub can do. It is 349.00 from Parts express and it is a two hour DIY. You absolutely will not be dissappointed.

Good Luck Josh

Check out Yamaha SW-320. Add $200 more and you can get the 800 watts YST-SW800 which has phenomenal performance.

Your best bet is probably an Adire Rava ($399) or a Hsu VTF2($499), even cheaper if you buy them used. They may stretch your budget just a little, but either gives you so much more for your money than any of the Yamaha or other subs, IMO, and I don't own a Rava or a Hsu or have any connection or interest with either company.

Funny,

These models are unique to the US as they arent avaialble anywhere in Europe or Asia. Out here you would get the SW-320/800/1500, which have respectively 300/800/1500 watts of output.
