Need help choosing a receiver

Hi All,
I am new to the board here and looking for some help with buying a home theater receiver. I will mostly use it with my Sony SXRD-60 inch for TV (DirecTV) and movies (PS3 Blu Ray) but I would like the option to use it with my sirius satellite radio and perhaps with my iPods too. I would like to have at least 3 HDMI Inputs and 1080p video upscaling. Not sure what else I would need. My budget is about $500 and I was planning to pair the receiver with a Take Energy Classic 5.1 speaker set.
I was looking at the following:
Pioneer VSX-1019 AHK
Denon AVR 1910

I am not too familiar with Yamaha or Onkyo but open to suggestions.
Could you please make some recommendations?
Thank in advance.

I have a Pioneer SC-07 and it has worked quite well since I purchased it 9 months ago. (just an FYI for Pioneer stuff). Sirius satellite works well but IMO you probably won't use the video upscaling. Your TV or Blu-Ray player will probably be better scalers. As for the HDMI inputs, if you end up not having enough you can purchase a HDMI switcher to do this on the cheap.

The Onkyo 606 would be enough for a Take Classic set. Another option is the HK ebay store.

The 1910 has my vote, but you might only need the 1610 as Sony TV's have good scalers.
