That's overkill for a receiver IMO. I'd not spend 2k on any receiver. You'd be better off getting an Onkyo in the 500 dollar range with pre-amp outs and spending the rest on an external amp.

I agree with BMXTRIX on the amplifier front. ALso look into the Marantz AV7005, Anthem AVM 50v and Denon 4311 as pre-processors.

Just go with aesthetics and features.

And the ones that are on SALE.:D
