Hello Everyone,

Long time Reader here, First time poster.

Let me start off by saying that I'm a n00b when it comes to the home theatre/audio game and thought Bose was the best sounding speakers out there, I'm glad I took the time to do some research and reading! This is my first home theatre setup so I want something that will do my hard earned dollars justice (i.e. Good price for performance)

Here's what I have and what i'm looking for.

1. Speakers - Energy Take 5 Classic 5.0 Speakers (Bought from Newegg $120)
2. Sub - PA-120 - $203 @ Acoustic Sound & Design, Shipped. OR eD-A2-300 Sub - $350 shipped. OR Klipsh SW-450 - $350+tx
3. Receiver - Denon AVR 790 OR Yamaha HTR6260B OR Onkyo SR-607

For the Sub, I'm on a budget so I was thinking about the PA-120 as I've read it gives the best bang for its buck, but if for $150 more I can get 2-3x the performance from the A2-300 I will take it.

For The receiver I'm open to suggestions, but based on what research I've done those three are in the runnings. Unless somebody can provide a sub $500 receiver for much better.

My Specs and Wishlist:

1500 Cubic Feet Room
4x HDMI Inputs - Video and Audio Switching.
Audyssey EQ (or equivalent)
Video Upscaling (not necessary but a good feature)

Thanks for your help everyone!

Yeah, I too was on the Bose bandwagon, until I found this site. I have to admit, what helped me also, was finding 'Definitive Mythos 2s' for 199.00 each instead of the usual 549.00 on Amazon(the catch is you have to order the SILVER not Black to get that price). I have an older Yamaha reciever putting out 100w per ch, @ .04 dis. It's one of the original ToP Art designs. Also bought the 'Polk Micro 1000' sub for 349.00 instead of the 1,000.00 retail price from Newegg. It all works great together. I hope this helps.
