Need help, can't find manual for JVC RX-709v surround setup

Hi guys kind of an audio newbie. whats the most basic standard set up for surround on my JVC RX-709v. I've got 5 jbls and a sub-woofer. just looking to set it up for home theatre and music, Thanks!!

Welcome, if the receiver has any bass management, set all speakers to small with the bass crossover set to 80 Hz. Then on the sub, turn the crossover to max, or disable, or use a separate LFE input which may bypass the sub's crossover. Set the gain to about 1/3 - 1/2.
