"Best possibilities?" For video, connect dvd player directly to tv via component, or, if you don't have component, s-video. For audio, connect player's audio out to receivers dvd in (audio), via toslink or digital coax, or lacking those, some high quality rca's. Speaker connections are all through your receiver, and that is very straight-forward (just keep cable polarity matched...red to red and black to black, and do all connections with all equipment turned off).
