If you can stretch your budget just a tad you can get much more performance from an internet direct company like SVS or HSU. That system below is an SVS. I don't know how much it would be in Canadian though.

My personal experiance with Paradigm's subwoofers, like the one that is included with that system you proposed, is very poor. The satelite speakers are fine, but the subwoofer could be much better. The SVS PB10-NSD is a superior subwoofer to the Paradigm.
AV123.COM also has some very nice speaker deals in the Onix X-series, but they are full size speakers and a tad more expensive. But you could start with 2.1 setup and then move to 4.1 when you get more money and eventually get 5.1 or even 7.1 if you want to. If you go the route of AV123 Onix X-series I would get a pair of X-LS and a sub from an internet direct co. Then when you can afford it, get a pair of X-SLS and move the X-LS to surround duty. Then finish it with a X-CS.
