Need Carver TFM assistance, pleez

Just got my TFM-35, with no manual, of course. Are the meter lights supposed remain ON all the time and brighten when you hit the light button?

Also, what is the difference when one presses the meter button-which functions are really being measured?

I posted to the Carver forum, but it's kinda slow over there as compared to here.

Ive got one , the lights are always on (only dim and normal ) . No idea of the measurement difference , but it has no effect on the Amps performance either way .
