Need cables for new system...

Hi.

I've finally bought my new system and I need to buy some cables now. Since this is my first system, I'm kind of lost on which cables to buy... I'm connecting a Denon AVR-4311 to 2 Monitor Audio GS20 front speakers, while the remaining speaker (center, rear) and subwoofer belong to the monitor audio silver series. For the rear speaker I'd like to buy the most discreet cables as possible (wife requirement) since they will come from the tv stand by the oak floor and afterwards below a carpet

Since I'm based in southwest Europe I've been checking amazon uk (free shipping...) on possible options. I eventually came across the following cables:

surround speaker cables:

front speaker cables:
http://www.fisual.co.uk/dynamic/eshop_products.set/ref/24/fisual-super-pearl-1.5mm-speaker-cable/display.html

banana plugs:
http://www.fisual.co.uk/dynamic/eshop_products.set/ref/55/fisual-easy-fix-banana-plugs-4-pack/display.html

subwoofer cable:
http://www.fisual.co.uk/dynamic/eshop_products.set/ref/13/fisual-install-series-subwoofer-cable/display.html

Do you think the cables are ok for my setup? Newbie question: how easy is it to plug the bananas into the cable (and do you need any speciall tool to do so)?

Thanks for your help.

That sort of screw type bananas are simple to put together, but they don't necessarly stay tight. All you need is a screw driver for those.

That sub cable looks a little cheap, but it should work fine.

I am not a fan of flat cable, but as long as it is the correct AWG for how long you are going to run, it should be OK. That means at least 14AWG. You don't need anything special in terms of wire if it isn't going to be run inside the wall.
