Need Assistance / Receiver Selection

I'm putting together a home theater and one thing that is slightly different from the norm is that I will be using 2 center channels....probably Axiom
W150's. What issues will that bring to my receiver selection? Are there affordable receivers out there that will do the job or do I need a pre-amp for those channels? I'm leaning towards the Yamaha RX V-2700 or the 1700. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The 2700 offers a few more features than the 1700, such as networking abilities, USB interface for flash drive, offers composite video switching when using Zone 2, and it scales HDMI with ABT. The power difference is neglegible, the specs say the 2700 has 10 watts more per channel, not going to be noticable.;)

It all comes down to price. How much can you get them for? If the 2700 costs more than $200 more I would get the 1700. But, then I don't know if you need the scaling feature.

The key issue is how you wire the the two centers. Since the 150s are 6 ohm nominal, they should be wired in series if you’re using a receiver. The receiver choice depends on your room size and which speaker you will be using for the R/Ls?
