need amp to go with JBL AV1

I just got a great deal on a JBL AV1 unit, now I need a good 7 channels amp to go with the JBL. so far I like the Emotiva IPS-1 Amplifier, great review from this site. any other suggestion?

What kind of speakers are you planning on pushing with this amp and what is your budget?

i got all 7 Acoustic Research speakers:

2 AR3 for front
1 AR2c for center
2 AR 312HO for the side
2 AR 208HO for the rear


I want to stay under $2000.

That is a nice pre/pro, looks very nice.

My personal opinion, you might as well go for the MPS-1 on that budget, I think you will thank yourself later.

is the MPS 1 that much better than the ISP 1, emotive won't have the MPS til 8.05, that's a long wait

Wow, I think that must have just happened! It says 8/15/07 now.

The ISP-1 should still be great, but I do think the MPS-1 would be better of course. I don't think I could wait that long either, that MPS-1 is very popular I guess.
