well i bought the vsx-516 based on the review here on audioholics. the reciever is biampable. i wanted to know if the speakers themselves HAVE to be biampable as well. im looking into the cerwin vegas E 712 as my mains (are they discontinued?) they are rated at 300 w max

would my 100 watts per channel be enough to have these babies kick?? could i bi amp these speakers in order to get 100 watts from another channel? therefor powering 200 watts to the speakers.

what other speakers similar to the cerwin vegas mentioned above would you recommend??

im a newbie i know it.....

Speaker connections

Your pioneer receiver is at the bottom of the food chain. Since it can't deliver 100 Watts all channel driven, you probably wont see a significant perfromance difference if you bi-amp the mains.

To bi-amp speakers, they must have two sets of binding post and a jumper. Remove the jumper and connect one amp channel to each set of posts.

Cerwin Vegas are good for blasting music at frat parties and other large venues. If are setting up an HT system for a small room, check out some of the following option:
