I've been researching home theater speakers in my budget for a while and I've narrowed it down to two choices...the Axiom M60ti's, QS8's, VP150, and the SVS PB10ISD. The other choice is the Paradigm Monitor 7's, CC-370, the Mini Monitors and the SVS PB10ISD and for the reciever would be the Pioneer 1015TX and the DVD player would be the Pioneer DV588AS. I want to hear everyone's opinion on this. My total budget is around $3000. And if you have any other favorable options, those are always welcome.

Have you tried to listen to either set? Take some of your music to the local Paradigm dealer and have a good long listen. Also, check out this list and find some Axiom owners near you. Join the Axiom boards and send that person a PM so you can go listen to his/her speakers.

I like your options. I'm going to be getting the older model of your DVD player soon. For the price, I couldn't find anything with comparable features.

woody,
i am currently running the exact same paradigm setup as you except titans for rears and an hsu vtff2-mk2 for a sub. I just got the receiver 2 days ago and am still tweaking away, but i have to say, it sounds great. Was running a 2 year old yammie, and the pioneer sounds alot better, a much more full and integrated soundstage. I haven't heard the axioms but find it hard not to recommend the paradigms as they are one of the best bargains out there when it comes to speakers. like jaxvon said, have a listen and decide for yourself.

As a former Paradigm owner, I'd say go with the Axioms. The 'digms are a bit better built and nicer to look at, IMO, but the Axioms sound as good, if not a bit better to my ears, for the money. The 'digms are great for HT, but I found them a bit lacking for music.
