Need advice on how to hook up my sub to my receiver.

I have a Denon AVR-2313CI and am trying to hook up an Epik Empire. What is the best way to hook these up? Thank you, the new guy.

Monoprice is a great resource for cables and things and their prices are usually good. I've never had any issues with anything I've ordered from them so far.

I received the cable and hooked it up. I tried both I'm puts to each receiver subwoofer outputs and got no response from the subwoofer. What am I doing wrong?

The cable should be hooked up to the Subwoofer1 Pre Out on the receiver (if you only have 1 subwoofer), and the other end to the LFE input on the subwoofer.

Did you rerun the automatic setup in the receiver? If not, then very likely, it is not outputting anything to a subwoofer at all if you did not have one hooked up previously. See the manual for your receiver for this.

You also need the level control on the subwoofer not turned all the way down. Does the power light come on on the subwoofer?

TO add to Pyrrho's input which should be corrected when re-running the automatic set up, but double check that all speakers are set to small and the LFE output is set to subwoofer and not mains or both.
