i am setting up a hometheater in a 12.4 by .12.4 feet room with the help of a consultant but the speakers he is suggesting is a discontinued model of klipsch which is the klipsch Cinema 6 reference satellite speakers so i am afraid he is tryin to sell the stock away. i need advice on which klipsch home theater speakers preferably the reference series which has not been discontinued to buy .. herewith is the setup he has suggested .

1)speakers - klipsch 5.1 cinema 6
2)fixed frame 110" or 120"
3)projector - panasonic or optoma
4)av reciever - yamaha or denon
5)room acoustics

need advice on which set of speakers to take from klipsch only . preferbly the reference series .. i knw the room seems small but which of the reference series hmm floorstanding can i choose .not too way off pricey tho :)

I dont like the klipsh... For the money you can buy a much better sounding speaker.. To me klipsch are too bright and fatiguing, I dont like their sound at all...

Whats your budget, they guys here will put you where you should be,,

Lol, I would definitely not want those satellite speakers. What a crap speaker set, I hope you are not paying that consultant a serious consulting fee. Klipsch speakers are good but you will want the Reference series. I would go with some bookshelf speakers like the RB-61 or RB-51, since you won't need something extremely powerful for that small room. Also Klipsch doesn't have that many great subwoofers, if you need an inexpensive Klipsch sub, go for the RW-12d, but if you can afford it, go for the SW-115. If you can, go for an manufacture direct sub maker like Hsu or Rythmik.

Never pay a person to tell you what to buy, when that person has a financial incentive for recommending a certain product. In other words, never pay someone to tell you to buy the products they are selling.

You are being shafted. Only speak to this person again to tell them you no longer desire their services.

I'm also pretty sure a 110" screen will be way to large for that room. Try throwing some painters tape on the wall to outline the screen and decide if you can really see all of it from where you will sit.

110" screen will give you vertigo at that distance. IMO, 65" plasma is the way to go. Save money too.

Fire whomever you're getting your recommendations from.

since the room is small the sound is big anyways.. so are these klipsch reference speakers RB-61 or RB-51 with subs and when u mean these speakers u r referernin to the home theater combo on the klipsch site right ? so are these good enuf n will they fit with out trouble in the room i mean is it too big for the room ?

I just mean those particular bookshelf speakers, but you could piece together some kind of package using them as the front left and right speakers. Whether they are too big is for you to decide, but they are the smaller, high quality bookshelf speakers that Klipsch sells, I think they ought to work fine.

I have had Klipsch bookshelf speakers in a room around your size,
with 5-1/4 and 6-1/2 woofers. > Even the 5-1/4 bookshelf had big
sound, the 6-1/2 inch will come more at you. >> So, bookshelves
and center with a decent sub, will be fine.

If really going with Klipsch, then the reference series is the pick.
