Need advice on a reciever

Also try www.ubid.com for receivers. They've had the RXV2500 for under $500, which is a big step up from the 5890.

Great choice IMO. Check www.onecall.com also, someone said it is going for $449 shipped there (you have to call to get that price though I think).

No, you should just ask for the best price on the unit; tell them you saw that someone on a forum got that price if they give you a different price. Sorry, I just checked and it is actually $499 shipped, not $449. A guy who just bought one from them said the 2yr warranty is listed as $59, but is actually only $29, which seems like it would actually be worth it. That means you might also want to look at the 2600 Buckeye mentioned.

I'm not going to pay for a 2 year warranty, it already comes with one...If it were three or more, then we would be talking...And I can get it cheaper on ebay....

2yrs in addition to the factory warranty. I've never bought an extended warranty, but Marantz factory warranty is already 3 years so... You can get most things cheaper on eBay, but most aren't warrantied.
