Need advice for dead Samsung

Bought a Samsung Ln52a860 based on the boards here. Love it but have had issues. The right half of the screen gets blurry double images for the first 10 minutes and now is about dead. Got a warranty call and they were to replace panel. Also they cancelled order with no communication for months and I was finally able to get them to set up for exchange apparently meaning new set. However, they don't have a 52" anymore and I need the same size as it is custom mounted in a recess that cannot be enlarged. What to do? Can I get a refund? Really worried as I don't even see a 52" lcd of this quality anywhere. Am I screwed? I'd have a new panel installed if they'd do it. They have called to arrange exchange yet, and based on history may be a long time. My 46" has issue too since new. Any advice?

Samsung wants to replace my ln52a860 with a ln55c650. That seems like a step down form the 860. Can someone confirm if this is so? They also want to charge me $150 for an out of warranty fee!!?? It's in warranty! Think I'm done with Samsung based on too many issues, terrible cust svc.

yes its a step down in quality but companys like samsung and sony for instance thinks that getting a bigger screen and then asking you 150$ back is a deal..wwhhoooaaa...idiots!

I guess that will be their arguement, but it retails for over $1000 less than the old set. Yeah prices have come down but there is still a gap. There seems to be a ln55c750 I have been reading about but may not be a US unit. I will protest and see what my options can be. Perhaps a larger plasma. Oh well. Thankfully I can afford to just buy something I want and give the 55" to my mom or put in the office. But still seems wholly unfair, like they give a sh**.
