Hello all,

I'm looking to setup a 7.1 Home Theater System and would appreciate your input and expertise. So far I've only purchased two components (see below), but I've listed all the equipment I intend to buy. I've decided to go with Polk Audio RCi series inwall speakers.

Here are the particulars:
Room size: 14' x 14'

Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ800U
Panamax MAX 5300-EX (got it for $199.88 shipped)
Sony STR-DG820 (got it for $281.99 shipped)
Sony PS3 80GB System
Polk Audio SWA 500 (500 Watt mono amp for CSW series subs)
Polk Audio CSW 100 (ceiling/floor mount sub)

I plan on using three Polk RC85i's for L/C/R, but I'm not sure what I should use for the surrounds (side and rear). Should I use either RC65i's or RC55i's for all surrounds? Or RC65i's for the side surrounds and RC55i's for the rear surrounds?

And where would you suggest is a good ceiling location (best sound) for the Polk CSW100 sub?

Also, Polk RC85i's are sold in pairs and I only need three. Maybe someone on this forum would be interested in purchasing the extra RC85i from me?

Thanks for your help.

Seems like a decent setup. Main thing is to make sure and give the speakers a listen. especially if you are doing inwall.

Are you dead set on the in-ceiling sub? If you choose the wrong location it'll be difficult to move and it'll resonate/vibrate any space or room above it considerably...

yes...i want everthing flush mounted in-wall/in-ceiling. I've read that a good location for a conventional sub is usually to the left or right of the front sound stage. Is there any basic guidelines or rules of thumb for in-wall/in-ceiling mounted subs?

You may consider a dual sub option if your doing in wall. That should reduce your chances of having bad bass.
