Need a Receiver Recommendation!!

I have an Outlaw Audio 990 Pre-amp and the Outlaw 7700 200w amp driving my M&K THX Reference System. The 990 is old and the new 997 is nowhere in sight so I'm looking to upgrade to one of the more current Pre-amp/receivers and need a recommendation.

Since I'm only using the receiver as a processor, I'm less concerned about the amplification and more concerned about HT processing quality and to be able to have multiple HDMI inputs, airplay and Pandora control. It would also be great if there was a iOS app that I could use as my remote so my wife could be happy.

I'd like to do this for less than $1,000 what are your recommendations?

Edit: I'm running a 7.2 setup.

I have the 3312 and 5 other Denon's . They all sound fabulous. Of course, I only use direct mode and keep things more "pure & simple" (like that analog sound ) and bypass all those processing stuffs like Room Correction, EQ, Tones, DSP, and what not.

I think spending more is a waste of money. Just my opinion.

I would get the Marantz.
