Need a new Tv

I have a 37 inch lcd which I got as a wedding gift. It's a no name brand and there are no inputs in the Tv and you have to run everything from the dvd player that came with it. I think my movies and videogames would look much better if they were run differently. I want to also get a 42 inch lcd or plasma. I watch a lot of sports and play a lot of videogames. I dont want to spend over 1500. any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I would recommend searching the forums there are opinions on TVs everywhere. If you want a Plasma look into Panasonic if you want an lcd look into sharp or sony.

if you don't mind refurbs or discontinued models, you might try this website. they have a pretty good 4th of July special going on for 37inch and above.

I've purchase two 37inchers and a 30 incher (all LCD) in the past and not had any problem, other than they won't talk to certain Samsung DVD players over the HDMI (950but no problem with the 960).
