Need a new TV on a budget

I have a home theater PC that is currently hooked up to a 27inch emmerson non-flat tv from back in the 80's.


I'd like a new TV that could also double as a computer monitor and I came across this http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktopdisplays/lcdtv/n2750w/

at costco for $999 CDN


I'd just like to get your guys feedback on it as it seems very attractive to me being able to do both computer monitor work and TV for under $1000

Looks to me like an outstanding value. Most screens I've seen at that street price are only Enhanced TV, not full HDTV.

And it's not like that's a no-name brand, either. I've had and abused Viewsonic monitors (granted, they were tube-type and not LCD) at work and home that lasted until they were replaced due to boredom, not for any mechanical problems.

Check out the CompUSA Sunday ad today. They have a nice 20" Viewsonic for $399 and an Olevia LT32HV LCD flat panel 32" for $1399 that mounts on a wall and is HDTV ready. Both would make great computer monitors. I have the 20" Olevia and use it for both pc and cable and I love it.
