I don't know. This is more of a Home Audio forum. But, if I were to speculate, I'd find a JL Audio amp. They have nice low distortion as well as a good approach to their products. Prolly a pair of the 1000/1 JL Audio Amps. Of course, don't forget to pick up at least a 2 Farad stiffening capacitor for your system. Also, AudioBahn sells amps and caps, so you could also just go for more AudioBahn.

Also, I've heard from people that AudioBahns are loud, but are slow and sloppy. If you want high quality music reproduction, you may also want to look into JL Audio (link above).

Opening a can of worms, but I almost exclusively recommend MB Quart amplifiers.

MB Quart is now owned by Rockford Fosgate, so I wouldn't buy amps from them. Generally stay away from anything Audiobahn.

When Audio-breaks stuff reaches the RMS power rating, they tend to do just that, break. As for JL, their subs are alright, but their amps are so-so.

Also, instead of buying a capasitor (which do little to nothing), spend that money on a High Output alternator.

What I would reccomend is somthing from Phoenix Gold or Precision Power (PPI).

For car audio stuff, go here: http://www.the12volt.com

*EDIT* Also realise you impedance options for those subs are 1 ohm, 4 ohm, and 16 ohm. Unless you wire them stereo, which I wouldn't reccomend.

Hi,

If you want good sounding bass (musical & loud). I would recommend Phoenix Gold amps or McIntosh amps.

If you want something just shatter your bones loud.....go with anything else with lots of power.....its as simple as that.

Not exactly. First you want to make sure that you're feeding that amp all of the current it needs to produce that big power. THEN you have to make sure you've got a big enough amp to produce all that power and NOT clip the signal, as that equals DEATH for any speaker (except for tweeters for some reason that I don't feel like explaining).

Buy the Linear Power amp the other poster has for sale. They are a very simple and reliable design and might be the cleanest sounding and longest lasting car amps money can buy. Stick with older LP amps that have model numbers ending in 01 or 02 OR buy a new T03 series amp (I don't like LPs cheaper current line).

If you must buy new then I vote for the Phoenix Gold Titanium series amps or JL Audio. I have a PG Ti series that sounds great with my DynAudio mids/highs and PG X-Max sub and it's been going strong for over 5 years. I'm about to add a 2-ch JL amp to run 4 8" woofers (replacing the single 10") and bridge the Ti to run the just the Dyns. I've had numerous Linear Power amps in the past and would buy them again over any others if my shop could get them (I'm an ex-employee and still buy at cost and I can't get LP at cost anymore since they don't sell it).
