A must see for skizzerflake. Everybody else should take some valium before watching this one. I think it might have an appeal for 'film' buffs. It was done in black and white and the cinematography tries to capture how still the region can be.

Alright, some of it was funny and the guy who played MacGruber (Will Forte) didn't at all act like MacGruber. I was going to say that it was low budget and MacGruber sounds just like Adam when he's not being MacGruber but then I went and saw that it got 6 Oscar noms. The sound track was in 3.0. Not one explosion! The only hint of nudity you don't even want to know about.

Somewhere in the middle of the film I considered turning it off but ultimately I'm glad I didn't. My girl liked it a bit more than I did and that's odd for a film with a slow pace.

It's in the Netflix queue. Looking forward to seeing it, from all the critical acclaim to just watching Bruce Dern's performance.

Hey! Just 'cuz I like some slow movies, doesn't mean I don't like the fast ones too. I'll have you know that I enjoyed Non-Stop tonight (comment elsewhere). I was just about done with Nebraska until close to the end, when I realized that it was leading up to a good end. Fortunately, I had the patience to let it happen and liked it. Bruce Dern was excellent in what might be a swan-song, as was Will Forte as his exasperated son who showed a lot of love for the old guy by humoring him in what seemed like dementia until it all seemed to have a better purpose. The B&W minimalism worked...no color or FX needed.
