Bought the DVD and watched it this weekend. It was much like the first one, car chases, gun shots, and a hidden cavern lit my oil lamp ducts. This flick adhered to the exact formula as the first one. Just a different treasure.

I agree. I rented it last week and watched it on Thursday. I liked the first one better, but perhaps because it was more original the first time around. I liked this one, too, but just not as much. If you liked the first one, I'd say this is worthy of a rental.

I watched it the other day. I liked it but like a few has said the first one was better imho. I did like seeing Ed Harris and John Voight though. Both are really great actors in their own right.

The Blu-ray of this movie looked very good, the movie was better than I expected.

Watched the first one a couple days ago, and the second one last night, both on blu ray. The first one was definitely better, but the second was good as well. Both had excellent audio and video, but that is to be expected with any Disney blu ray movie. I think they hinted at a third one with the mentioning of page 47 in the presidents secret book.

I watched this last Friday night and was a little disappointed. I thougt it was good, but never really grabbed my interest like the first one did which was too bad as I was really looking forward to this movie.

Maybe it was a little too long with too many breaks between the action scenes, I am not sure.

I didn't find the relationship between Nicloas Cage's character and his ex-wife very believable. Felt like another one of those "we should have never divorced" bits, sort of like Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton in Twister. Maybe adventure and death-defying feats are the way to strengthen a relationship

Anyway, worth the rent, but I doubt I will buy..... unless of course there is a third installment and it rocks and they release a box set with a treasure map so I can go on my own national treasure hunt.

Hmmm.... do I smell a new reality show :p

Cheers
Michael
