Nakamichi AV-500

does anyone have experience with this receiver? the more i read the manual the more i see it's a pretty complex unit.

so far i have my 42' LG-flatscreen and dvd output hooked up. just set up 4 speakers (rear and front) and a center speaker. will go for a subwoofer soon.
at this time they are all next to the tv.

any ideas on the surround sound options on the remote control?

Man, I didn't realize LG made any displays that big. WOW! 42 FEET! I hope you have a big room for that.

In all seriousness though, I have no experience with this receiver, but look in the manual for callibration options. Hopefully, there's some information there that will tell you how to get your channels balanced proerly.

What audio outputs does your TV have? Looks like that Nakamichi can't handle a digital connection, but you could at least connect a stereo analog output to it.
