My Nakamichi AV 2 1999 vintage has been sitting most of the time because some of my listening involves my old vinyl LP records. My Nacamichi does not appear to support my turntable. Am I correct; is this so? I tried the AUX port, CD and others but nothing worked. Do I need some kind of pre-amp for my turntable to work with this receiver? How and what to do? Thanks, Easy...

Yes, you need a seperate phono preamp to get your turntable to work. The NAD PP-2 preamp is a good one.

Thanks Jerry! I followed the link and saw where it will be my best option. I have two pairs of Klipch Kg4 speakers which are in excellent shape. I cannot wait to hear the old vinyl or newer CD's coming through them. Thanks again! Easy...
