Nakamichi AV-10 requires part

Hi all,
I purchased a used Nakamichi amp in the states so it is a 120 volt system.
I plugged it into a 220 system without enough thought and blew part of the transformer.
I had a tech look at it and he told me that it was tranformer number 401 in the amp.
I have contacted the Nakamichi Head Office in Singapore but I am having trouble getting a replacement part.
Does anyone else have any suggestions on where I can get a replacement part or even another cheap amp for use as parts.
Any help is appreciated.

However, I suspect you live in the far east, and your powering is very different to the US and not just in voltage. In the far east you have a two phase system, not live and neutral like we do. I suspect the unit needs a different transformer to work in your part of the world. The chance of finding a transformer for a unit that age is remote. The other issue is, I doubt that unit is worth the labor for repair.

Unless these units have an external or internal voltage selector, then buying a unit made for the US will not help you, you will have to find a unit made for your part of the world.
