I think the biggest bottleneck in your system is the graphics card. The GTX 1650 can run VR - but it wont run it flawlessly.

I can't tell from your post, however, if you understand what nbk13nw is saying. If you do I apologize for the following. The Quest and Quest 2 do not need a computer at all. They are standalone VR headsets with the added feature of linking to a PC. A Quest can play VR content two ways: (1) content loaded directly onto the headset utilizing the headset's internal components, or (2) like a more traditional VR setup with the content running on a PC using the PC's internal processing and streaming the video to the headset via hardwire (Oculus Link) or wireless link (Virtual Desktop, etc.). If your PC is not powerful enough to run VR you can still use the Quest on its own you would just be limited to content made for the Quest and couldn't use content that is made exclusively for the Rift systems or content from other sources like Steam VR.

I would not recommend replacing the surrounds. The speakers are timber matched to match the drivers in the sound bar and their efficiency rating is matched to the amplifier to produce matching sound levels. I don't think that you have the customization available in the sound bar to properly match different surrounds. These types of setups are designed to work best with matching components. Besides, the surround channels are primarily for effects. The sound of your front speakers is what counts the most. Anything gained from replacing the surrounds will be marginal. Sound bars can do ok for smaller rooms, but to go from "excellent to amazing" you will likely find that members will recommend going to an audio/video receiver with better speakers. If it is excellent now, enjoy what you have. Anything better will likely involve a bigger investment in separates.

Don't worry, this will get added to the ever longer marcus oakley thread. He is the oldest bot on AH so he got his own thread.

The post you quoted cracks me up. It's basically "Every person I talked to, including the company's own representatives told me it won't work. Will it work?"...

We should just respond "yes" without any additional help.

Granted, new folks don't know the joke so I'd hate for someone to actually listen to my nonsense and it cause them issues...

Marcus was a crackup once you figured him out. It really sucked when I thought he as a serious inquirer. Its funny how you can forget 100's of posts by folks but remember a name like Marcus Oakley. He added a little flavor and color around here.
