Hi-

I am interested in purchasing a Naim Nova for my home theater system, however, I would only want to use it as a music streamer. I currently have a Sony 4k projector, McIntosh MX122, McIntosh MC8207, Focal Sopra 3 speakers with a Focal Center and Focal Subwoofer. My surrounds are B&W and Martin Logan Vignettes. I plan to install Focal in-ceiling speakers in the near future for Dolby Atmos.

I would like to utilize the current equipment I have and use the Naim Nova as a music streamer. Is this possible? Any/all suggestions welcomed. Thank you.

The Naim is an integrated AMP. It's only outputs are speaker level and sub-preamp.

I'm having difficulty understanding how you would exactly integrate this with already having the MX122 and MC8207.

You need to be looking at something like the Oppo Sonica, TEAC NT 503, or Cambridge 851N.

I had the 851N ($1600) and the Cary Audio DMS-500 ($4000) and I would encourage you to get the 851N. They both sounded great. I know the Cary will run with the Naim, and I know the 851N will do the same at about $4500 less.

Sorry, never had hands on with the MB100. But sounds like it will do what you need it to do.
