NAD has announced a 4K upgrade path for certain AV receivers and pre/pros in the company's line. Anyone who purchases a new T 758, T 777, T 787, or T 187 model will receive a certificate for a free or reduced-priced 4K Upgrade Video MDC Module ($599 MSRP) when it becomes available later this year. NAD's Modular Design Construction puts the input/output circuitry on removable plug-in cards to allow for easy upgrades, and this On-Q 8-port Video Module will add 4K video support and HDCP 2.2. copy protection.

NAD Electronics has announced an important 4K Ready AVR MDC Upgrade Program for its AVRs and PrePros, assuring NAD customers can incorporate compelling new technologies when they are truly ready. Effective immediately, all T 758, T 777, T 787 (AVRs) and T 187 (PrePro) models shipped will include an Upgrade Video MDC Module certificate. HDMI 2.0 features, including 4K Video and HDCP 2.2 encryption (required for viewing 4K content), will be fully supported in the new Video madule future-proofing the customer's investment.
Customers purchasing NAD T 777, T 787 and T 187 are eligible for a free future upgrade 4K MDC Module when available later in 2015. Customers purchasing the T 758 AVR are eligible for a future upgrade 4K MDC video module at the special program price of $199. Customer upgrades will be fulfilled through their NAD dealer by presenting the 4K Video MDC Certificate supplied along with their proof of purchase.
