Nad amp warranty

I should have thought about this before purchase, but I bought a Nad T955 on sale in the U.S. for $799. In Canada there about $2000, so I jumped at the opportunity at a great price. The thing is the warranty would be void when its shipped to Canada. My question is should I chance it? How's the reliability on Nad products, the T955 in particular?

Is the warranty void, or would you just need to bring it to the U.S. to have it serviced under warranty? I ask because their website states, "Warranty is NOT transferable from person to person and is only valid in the country where the units are purchased."

Your question is still a good one, as shipping it back and forth from the U.S. probably isn't inexpensive. I just wanted to ask.
