Thnx Yamahahahaha, I took the amp down to the dealer he put the V0.2 software update to it(ALL NAD T-series owners, get this update through the RS port on the back), could not duplicate the "hiss" at the store, brought it home hooked it up and there is still a "hiss" well I know its not the amp and  in talking with the dealer he said it is ground loop hum, any quick suggetions on how to eliminate this Ground loop hum.?

Have you checked your earth connections, also are the speaker cables sheilded from mains, have you tried putting ferrite filters on your the NAD's power cords? Try these methods out and get back to me.

I had the same issue with a Sony receiver. I took it back and got another one and it had the same problem. I took the second one back and it couldn't be duplicated at the store. They told me the same BS about ground loop hum. After about 9 months I got tired of it and bought a Sony ES. Took it home and it had no hum whatsoever. I've messed with the old unit and discovered the digital board was bad, as there was no hum when bypassed. They want half the price of the receiver for the digital board...not worth it. From my research I've discovered quite a few people had the same issue with the STR-DE825. I still have no idea why it didn't hum at the store. Then again I've seen a lot of crazy stuff working with electronics.

Thnx Yamaha

I will try the filters and check the ground outside when its light out, but how do I shield the speaker wire from the mains? :)

Just make sure they are not criss crossing each other at any point or anywhere near each other for that matter, suspending them from the floor yeilds good results sonically, and ManleyGun, I have really nothing against your NAD, that retort was directed to someone else and not you or your NAD.

Plug only speakers to your unit, unplug everything else. If you hear hiss/hum, its definitely not the ground loop.
